Our People
Tim Pearce
- Partner and National Head of BSO
Let’s talk today
Want us to call you? Let’s start a conversation!
What do you do?
I lead the 250 strong BSO team at Cooper Parry working with our BSO leadership team on developing and growing BSO, developing our people and ensuring our clients receive an amazing service.
Why do you do it?
I didn’t go to university (truth be told I wasn’t very engaged at school and scraped through my A-levels!) and fell into accountancy following a stint working as a manager for a national supermarket – I loved it from day one and rapidly progressed through my exams and through the ranks at the firm I was working for at the time ending up as partner in Haines Watts, joining CP in 2023 as part of the CP/HWSE transaction. I get a kick from helping people, be that clients or a members of our team, helping them overcome their challenges and helping them meet their goals. Working at CP massively fast passed, we are constantly striving to do better and no two days are the same whilst we bring teams together (from different acquisitions) and drive BSO forward – its challenging but super rewarding.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
Latterly my focus has been on internal projects – building consistent processes across our BSO business. However, from a client facing point of view I have been involved with a number of scaling businesses, supporting them with acquisition, consolidation, financial reporting structures, finance team recruitment and development, finance delivery models, structural planning and eventual exit. Working with founders/owners and being part of their journey allows me to provide holistic support as their trusted advisor not just produce some numbers. This is massively rewarding for me and hugely beneficial to the client.
What’s top of your bucket list?
Top of the bucket list is doing the North Coast 500 in Scotland in a VW Camper van. Myself and my wife love to travel and having done many long haul trips we fancy something closer to home!
