“Audit have been thorough. Sarah has dealt well with Audit Committee feedback some of which has not been that constructive. “
“First year and really pleased with the level of service and support we have received so far.”
“Audit went pretty well”
“Competent and timely, responsive. Better advance planning to improve communications. “
“Waiting for HMRC but it all looks positive. We got a good professional submission with a light touch interaction with CP and in what I think was a cost effective way. The additional cash will allow us to continue to invest in product development.”
“The results were in line with expectation – team understood technicalities well and first draft of report well put together. The additional cash has enabled us to reinvest into product development.”
“The additional cash has allowed us to pay the premium on a new lease to secure premises. The results were in line with our expectations.”
“The additional cash has allowed us to make further investment in strategic projects. The results matched our expectations.”
“The additional cash has allowed us to fund working capital. The results were pretty similar to my expectations.”
“Communication and service levels have dipped since Covid pandemic limited on site working”
“The audit in 2021 was thorough, went smoothly and there was good communication between Cooper Parry staff and me throughout the whole process. There was some preparation before the start of the audit, which was helpful and I particularly liked the new software which made it much easier to present my working documents to CP staff, and to receive and act upon requests for additional information/clarification from them. Draft accounts were received in a timely fashion and the few amendments which were needed were made quickly and accurately.”
“The relationship we have with Cooper Parry is special. The only Auditors and Accountants we have been able to build a close working relationship. We can go to them with any questions whatsoever and they are always diligent and helpful. We have been able to use your offices for offsite meetings and been treated like we are part of the company.”
“Audit went well and was efficient. Issues were discussed as we went through the process rather than being left to the end. Worked well having the interim visit pre year end. Next year, would be good to select as many samples as possible at this point so we can have them ready for the final audit date. Would also be good to have tax people on the clearance call with Looping France.”
“Peter Sterling is always available and responds promptly to any calls / emails. Re other matters I have had less to do with CP personally than in other years so difficult to comment.”
“Very quick responses to any questions which is always appreciated. Excellent follow up too. Should CP should be more active in assisting with finding the right type of funding for businesses that are growing or require increased borrowing ability. – is this an area that CP want to be involved in or not?”
“Relationship with team is good, and some key people involved in the relationship have been excellent. I would pick out Lewis, Robin and Louise from the team in particular as being knowledgeable of our business and providing good support. A specific example of good service was Robin jumping on a call at short notice alongside Browne Jacobson to help discuss an issue for us quickly, this was massively appreciated. Also during the year Louise provided some excellent support (last minute, which was our fault and not hers) for filing Form 42’s and EMI’s. However, I thought that a remote audit wasn’t great as I don’t like the process of audit via email as I think its more disruptive to the business than through conversation. Perhaps if remote is necessary scheduled Teams calls would be more productive for both sides ? I was also a little frustrated by the tax computation and being chased to make payments on account, when I believed that there was no tax to pay. The tax comps had missed a £2.25m deduction, which if I had not spotted myself could have meant an expensive tax liability. I am not sure if this would have been spotted later , or the full review process had been undertaken and would have just been omitted.”
