After breakfast pastries and coffees on arrival, we’ll be tucking into a talk and Q&A from special guest Andrew Gibson, Risk Assurance Partner at RSM UK.
Andrew specialises in internal controls, governance and risk management, and he’s enjoyed a glittering career to date with BDO, KPMG, Deloitte, and most recently, RSM UK, supporting leading UK and global companies, including the FTSE 100/250.
After Andrew’s talk and Q&A, we’ll be hosting our ever-popular roundtable discussion. Providing finance leads in the retail sector an opportunity to get together for an informal, collaborative roundtable event, packed with useful insights and content.

CAT KELLY
HEAD OF RETAIL & RELATIONSHIP PARTNER - COOPER PARRY
Cat is Head of Retail and a Partner at Cooper Parry. Cat joined Cooper Parry in 2004 and has spent the last 20 years working with a particular focus on retail clients. She speaks regularly at industry events, including co-hosting the Halfords IFRS 16 Forum for Retailers, and until recently was the Chair of the ICAEW’s Retail Advisory Group. Cat leads the special projects team at Cooper Parry, working alongside management teams on financial reporting projects, reviewing subsidiary audits, looking at royalty and rebate recovery, helping with IFRS transitions and implementing Internal Audit programmes. She brings a commercial approach to projects, identifying areas of business improvement and explaining them in a clear, simple way to manage and exceed stakeholder expectations.
ALEX GREW
GROUP FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER
Alex has been Group Financial Reporting Manager at Halfords since 2022. Having started his career at PwC, working on the audits of several UK retailers, Alex joined Halfords in 2020 as an internal auditor before moving across into Financial Reporting. At Halfords Alex leads on the production of the Group accounts as well as accounting for FX/Treasury and Share based payments, and providing technical accounting advice for the business.
PRITHY PATEL
GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - HALFORDS
Prithy has been Halfords Group Financial Accountant for over two years, now moving across to a new challenge in Commercial Finance. Prithy began her career as an auditor at EY, working on several large PLC’s understanding the fundamentals of how business’s work. During her time at
Halfords in the FR team she has led on retail stock, group IFRS 16, finance business partner and subsidiary statutory reporting.

Andrew has over 20 years’ experience and an impressive track record in delivering internal audit, internal controls and risk management solutions to leading UK and global companies, including the FTSE 100/250.
Passionate about helping businesses improve their risk management, control and assurance frameworks to enable growth, Andrew enjoyed successful stints at BDO, KPMG and Deloitte before becoming a Partner at RSM UK in July 2023.
