I joined CavanaghKelly from a Big 4 accountancy practice because I wanted to feel like I was making a difference to the businesses that I worked with – I wanted to have impact. I was fortunate to have worked in most departments within CavanaghKelly & gained vast experience that I could apply to clients that I worked with. The part I enjoyed most about my role was chatting to clients about their business, what was going well, what their frustrations were & finding ways that we could support them to make their business better. Once I understood their business, my role often involved sign posting them to specialist advice; tax, corporate finance, payroll, legal, management information/KPIs. 

Now CavanaghKelly are part of Cooper Parry, that’s how I see my new role in Business Development – it’s all about engaging with clients.  Whether a client has an implied need for a specific service, or whether they have a frustration or a need in a specific area – I get a buzz out of discovering what they need and signposting them to one of our many specialist teams to deliver for them.
