What do you do?

I’m an Employment Tax Senior based in our Birmingham office, helping employers navigate employment tax and PAYE compliance in a way that feels clear, practical and manageable.

A big part of my role involves supporting clients with P11Ds, PSAs and wide employer compliance obligations, as well as helping them understand where risk sits and what good processes look like in practice.

Why do you do it?

I’ve been in accountancy since I was 17, starting out at a local firm as an Accounts Apprentice – it’s developed from there ever since.

From accounts to personal tax and now employment tax, the common thread has always been helping people, solving problems and making tax feel a little less intimidating. I enjoy getting into the detail, turning something complicated into something clearer, and giving clients confidence that they’re doing the right thing. CP is a brilliant place to do that because the culture is collaborative, down-to-earth and full of people who genuinely care about doing a great job.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I’ve been involved in a mix of projects, from managing end-to-end P11D processes and reviewing general ledgers for PSA purposes, to supporting SAO workshops, preparing risk registers and helping clients navigate voluntary disclosures with HMRC. I’ve worked with businesses at different stages too, from start-ups through to larger, more established organisations.

Before moving into employment tax, I also built strong experience in personal tax, managing large client portfolios, handling disclosures, preparing forecasts and supporting clients with more complex affairs. That background helps me bring a practical, joined-up view to client work – whether that’s reducing risk, improving processes or simply making things easier to manage.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I’d love to explore Japan – the big cities and quieter spots, for the food, culture, everything!
