What do you do?

I am the Finance Director for the Professional Services team. I make sure the leadership team understands how the business is performing, where it is successful, where it is not and how it can improve. I help them make better decisions about growing the business whilst keeping it profitable. I call this sustainable, profitable growth. I make sure financial information is accurate and we have good controls in place so everyone can rely on the numbers. I turn financial information into practical advice that helps the business succeed.

WhY do you do IT?

I’ve always been a numbers person. I trained as an auditor before spending time in deals teams learning about how businesses work, what makes them successful and what doesn’t. I then took that experience and turned it into helping our business succeed.

WhAT KINDS OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

Finance department set up, process improvements, dashboard and MI development, long term planning, budgeting, forecasting, coaching and development. 

WhAT’S ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST? 

Almost anything cars and motorsport. A driving tour round the North Coast 500, or through the Alps, a track day, going to watch a big international motorsport event like Bathurst, Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500, Le Mans. I’m a petrolhead so anything that satisfies that craving.
