What do you do?

I look after all things relating to Group Finance. This includes looking after a team who help with reporting our numbers internally and externally, a team that looks after all our cash, a team that sorts paying our suppliers and receiving payments from our customers, a team who helps with integrating the companies we buy, and a team who look at ways of improving our supply chain management.

Why do you do it?

I love the variety, especially as no two days are the same at Cooper Parry. Working for such a fast paced growing business, I regularly have opportunities to try new things and learn something new which keeps me on my toes. Above all, I am very fortunate to work with some lovely and highly talented people who make each day fun.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

When I joined the Finance team in February 2023, the team consisted of 15 people and the business generated revenue just over £50m. Fast forward three years and the business is budgeting revenue over £250m and the finance team is over 55 people strong. I’ve been involved in 26 acquisitions, dealing with Private Equity investment for the first time, a market-leading exit event with a change of Private Equity investor, and numerous rounds of external refinancing.

What’s on the top of your bucket list?

I’m a keen runner, regularly competing in races ranging from 10km to marathons. Top of the bucket list is to complete an ultra marathon and I’m targeting 2027 as the year to complete a 50km race for the first time.
