What do you do?
In my role I support individuals, families, and business owners with strategic tax advice designed to bring clarity and confidence when navigating the complexities of the UK tax system. I take time to understand each client’s objectives, delivering tailored, practical solutions that promote long-term financial security and ensure compliance. Whether advising on inheritance tax planning for succession, using structures such as family trusts, or managing the tax implications of investments and business interests, my focus is on providing forward-thinking guidance that helps protect and grow wealth for both current and future generations.
Why do you do it?
I enjoy helping people make informed decisions that have a lasting positive impact on their lives and the generations that follow. Tax can be complex and often overwhelming, but with the right advice, it becomes a powerful tool for protecting and shaping informed decisions. With UK tax rules frequently changing, there’s never a dull moment!
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
I’ve worked on a wide range of projects that have included advising on complex inheritance tax and succession planning, often involving family investment companies, and cross-border considerations. I’ve also assisted clients with the sale or restructuring of family businesses, ensuring tax efficiency while meeting long-term goals. Every project is different, but they all require a deep understanding of the client’s personal and financial priorities.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
Extensive travel is definitely high on the list. I’d love to take time to explore places I’ve never been. Experiencing different cultures, landscapes, and cuisines is something is fascinating. Beyond travel, I’d also like to take on a personal challenge such as hiking beyond the local stunning Mourne Mountains or running a marathon, though I might need a bit more training for both!
