What do you do?

I’m an audit manager based at our East Midlands – Sky View office. I manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors and industries. I’ve worked at CP since 2012 when I joined as a university graduate and I haven’t looked back since!

Why do you do it?

I’ve always been drawn to numbers, so studying Accounting and Financial Management at Loughborough University felt like a natural choice. In my final year, I came across Cooper Parry—then based locally to me in Leicester—and from my very first interview, I knew it was the right fit (luckily, they agreed!). I went on to complete my ACA qualification alongside hands-on experience, which was the perfect combination. Along the way, I had the chance to work with a wide range of clients across different industries, build strong technical skills, and even pick up some surprisingly useful Excel tricks! Now, as an Audit Senior Manager, I love the variety my role brings—no two days are ever the same, and I get to work with some fantastic clients and colleagues. More recently, I’ve also become a mum, and the flexibility and support CP offers to working parents has been incredible—it really makes a difference.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

While I primarily focus on audit compliance for my clients, I’ve also had the opportunity to get involved in a variety of wider projects. This has included working closely with our Tax Advisory team on group structures and collaborating with our Corporate Finance team to support the sale of some of my clients’ businesses. These experiences have been particularly rewarding, as they’ve given me the chance to see projects through from start to finish and play a part in delivering a truly well-rounded service. I really enjoy working alongside different teams and bringing everything together to achieve the best outcome for our clients.

What’s on the top of your bucket list?

Travel! I love to experience new places and Australia is definitely on my bucket list, although I’ll need to conquer my fear of snakes before I get there!
