What do you do?

As the founder of embracent I am responsible for leading our amazing team – keeping us focused on providing simple, clear technology advice that our clients can understand whilst living out our core values Having spent many years in ‘Big 4’ consulting, and many years as global CIO for some large international businesses, I try to use my practical experience to cut through the waffle and jargon that can sometimes be part of the consulting world.

Why do you do it?

I’ve always loved working with technology – seeing how it evolves and how those changes can make a real, positive impact on businesses.  After working with many companies over the years, the idea of taking those experiences and building a like-minded team that could partner with businesses to truly help them felt like a win-win situation. And so, Embracent was formed.

Now, 10 years later, we’ve brought our team together to work with a company that not only has huge growth potential but also mirrors the values that matter most to us.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Since forming Embracent, we’ve had the privilege of working on a wide variety of projects with fantastic clients around the world. From creating AI, data, and technology strategies and roadmaps that help clients align their goals, optimise costs, and future-proof their business, through to delivering and recovering major IT transformation programmes, we’ve consistently helped organisations improve performance, increase their likelihood of success, and achieve faster speed to value.

Our approach always starts with understanding and optimising the technology a client already has, then building on it to drive meaningful value—balancing the need for progress with the need for long-term sustainability.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Having worked many times in Tokyo, I love visiting the city and travelling around Japan into the mountains.  I would love to see Tokyo in the spring when the cherry blossoms are out anto spend more time understanding the local culture and traditions.  Plus, Tokyo has some of the best sushi I have ever tasted!
