What do you do?

I am an Employment Tax Assistant Manager based near Leeds. I’m CTA and ATT qualified, and I help employers manage their risk and hopefully reduce the cost of employment. That can mean anything from navigating tricky compliance issues to spotting opportunities for tax relief, streamlining processes and preventing problems before they escalate. 

Why do you do it?

I do this work because I genuinely enjoy helping employers make sense of something that can feel complicated and overwhelming. I like being able to spot risks early, find opportunities for savings, and give clear, practical guidance that helps businesses look after their people while staying efficient and compliant.  

What kind of projects have you bene involved in?

I’ve helped businesses uncover hidden tax savings, tighten up their compliance, and build smarter processes that save time, money, and headaches. One week I might be navigating the tax implications of someone working across borders, and the next I’m helping a client shape a potential new benefit for employees, piecing together the details to find the best possible outcome. I’ve streamlined P11D and PAYE Settlement Agreement compliance processes, supported complex employment status assessments, and spotted risks long before they turn into expensive problems. What keeps it exciting is that every project blends technical tax expertise with real world people issue. 

What’s on top of your bucket list?

One of my biggest bucketlist goals is to visit all Seven Wonders of the World. There’s something incredible about standing in front of places that have shaped history, culture, and human imagination for thousands of years.
