What do you do?

I would describe myself as a financial detective, ensuring company’s financial records are appropriately stated.

Why do you do it?

Ever since I completed work experience at an accountancy practice when I was 16, I have always wanted to be an accountant. I completed an accounting and financial management degree and after graduating I joined UHY Hacker Young Manchester LLP, which is now part of the Cooper Parry family.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I have extensive experience in audit as well as accounts preparation under UK GAAP and IFRS. I manage a diverse portfolio of audit and account clients from a variety of sectors, including automotive, travel, property, manufacturing and legal.

What’s top of your bucket list?

As a keen darts player, the dream would be to hit a nine-darter.
