What do you do?

I’m a recruiter, but it’s much more than filling jobs. I connect talented people with opportunities at Cooper Parry, especially within our Wealth team. I help candidates navigate their career moves, work with managers to build strong teams, and make sure the whole hiring process is a great experience for everyone involved.

Why do you do it?

I very much fell into it and then fell in love with it. I get to talk to interesting people from all kinds of backgrounds and it feeds my natural curiosity. To do it at CP is fantastic, because I get to hear the excitement build over the phone when their questions get answered about our culture and vision.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Alongside my day job in recruitment, I’ve been involved in a few projects aimed at making hiring easier and improving the overall candidate experience. I’ve helped with visa sponsorship and offshore hiring projects so we can bring great talent into the business from all over the world. I’ve also been part of rolling out a new ATS and integrating different systems, which basically means making the recruitment process smoother, faster and less frustrating for candidates. The goal has always been to improve communication, reduce delays and make the journey from application to offer as seamless as possible.

What’s top of your bucket list?

Canoeing and camping trip through Scotland! I’d love to see a place I love from a new perspective, like the water.
