What do you do?

You know when a big change happens at work, a new system, a restructure, a whole new way of doing things? I’m the person who helps everyone make sense of it and get there together.

I work with organisations going through transformation and help their people understand what’s changing, what isn’t, and how to move forward with confidence. I have really great and honest conversations with leaders, teams, and frontline workers to create clarity, build trust, and protect people’s wellbeing along the way.

I also coach leaders on how to lead change well, building their confidence so they can bring their people with them. Because ultimately, change lands when people feel part of it, not just on the receiving end of it.

Why do you do it?

Because I care deeply about people, and I’ve seen first-hand what happens when change is done well, and when it isn’t.

I started out in engineering, then moved into project management, and somewhere along the way I kept noticing the same thing. Brilliant projects would finish, and the benefits were never realised. This was primarily because people had been left in the dark for too long. That’s when I knew the people side really is the work.

When a leader who was dreading a difficult conversation walks away feeling capable, or when a team that was resistant starts genuinely owning the change, that human element, the trust, the vulnerability, the transformation that happens in people, that’s what gets me out of bed.
I’m passionate about making change feel less like something that’s done to people, and more like something they’re part of.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Across energy, utilities, construction, manufacturing and engineering, I’ve led large-scale digital and HR transformations, including a Workday implementation that achieved the highest global adoption rate. I’ve guided organisations through ERP change and some genuinely complex, high-stakes programmes where getting the people side right made all the difference.

I care a lot about making sure change works for everyone, designing engagement and support around different learning needs and styles, so no one gets left behind and everyone feels confident in their role. When you get that right, the results follow.

What’s on the top of your bucket list?

To make a real difference in how organisations care for their people through change.

We live in a world that’s moving incredibly fast, and the pace of change people are experiencing at work right now is unlike anything we’ve seen before. I think about the people behind that, the uncertainty they’re sitting with, the questions they can’t always ask out loud and I want to help make that experience better.

I volunteer with the Change Management Institute because I believe our profession has such an important role to play in that. Not just in delivering better projects, but in creating workplaces where people genuinely feel seen, supported and valued through the journey.
If I can help more organisations understand that, and more people feel that, that feels like something really worth working towards.
