What do you do?

I support clients with employment tax matters, helping them stay compliant and manage risks and navigating the complexities that come with having people in their business. Whether that’s advice on PAYE, efficient benefits packages, employment status, HMRC Compliance investigations, NMW or supporting a business gearing up for a sale. I like to help clients feel confident, informed and supported and help them with any cost savings along the way.

Why do you do it?

I have always wanted to work in tax in some capacity, having done a degree in Accounting and Finance my favorite module was always tax. But truthfully, I fell into Employment Taxes and realised how much I enjoy helping businesses solve problems or find cost saving opportunities. No day is the same in Employment Taxes!

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Eight years in and I have worked on a wide range of employment tax projects with various business sizes. I have exposure to a wide range of employment tax matters that include, P11D and PAYE Settlement agreement compliance, PAYE Reviews/HMRC Inspections, NMW, expenses and benefits, off-payroll working, disclosures to name a few.

My favourite projects are those where clients walk away feeling relieved and reassured knowing they’ve met their obligations and can focus on running their business, with happy employees!

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Top of my bucket list? Getting myself into the F1 paddock and pretending I totally belong there, and if the universe is listening, I’d love to meet Lewis Hamilton while I’m there. I’d probably forget how to speak, but it would be iconic.
