What do you do?

I’m the person who gets things moving. I work across technology, transformation and operations, helping turn good ideas into real outcomes. I spend my time working with leaders to shape plans, solve problems, connect the right people and making sure things don’t lose momentum. I love asking “Why do we do it this way?” and finding better answers. Whether it’s introducing new technology, improving a process or helping a team work differently, I get a lot of satisfaction from making things simpler, smarter and more enjoyable. I’m also a big believer that the best results come from great relationships, so you’ll usually find me chatting to people, bringing teams together and making things happen.

Why do you do it?

I didn’t set out to build a career in the transformation space, and it happened quite organically as I collected different experience in my 13 years at PwC.  However, looking back now, it feels like every role, project and challenge has helped me built the skills that have brought me here. I thrive on change, fast-paced environments and the energy that comes with solving problems alongside brilliant people. Nothing beats taking something that’s complicated, messy or stuck and turning it into something that works. I do have a soft spot for a spreadsheet (who doesn’t?), but it’s really technology that gets me excited and offers us the ability to rethink the way we work. If I can help someone embrace a new way of working and see the benefits for themselves, that’s a good day.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I’ve been fortunate to work on a really diverse range of transformation projects, from redesigning operating models and processes to implementing new technology and building teams to deliver change. Before joining Cooper Parry, I led the global rollout of a Tax AI platform across PwC, supporting more than 22,000 users across 50 territories. Alongside this, I’ve built and developed offshore teams, led portfolios of technology change, and brought together multidisciplinary teams of product managers, project managers, business specialists and technology experts to turn ideas into reality. A lot of my work has been about creating the right environment for change to succeed – whether that’s introducing new ways of working, building dashboards and insights to support better decisions, selecting and implementing new technology solutions, or helping teams evolve how they operate. The common theme has always been connecting people, processes and technology to solve real business challenges. The benefit for clients is better experiences, more efficient ways of working and teams who are empowered with the tools and capabilities to deliver even greater value.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Japan is firmly at the top of my list. I’ve travelled extensively around Asia and love experiencing different cultures, but Japan is one place I’ve never made it to. I’m fascinated by the mix of ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology and I’d happily spend weeks eating my way around the country, exploring everything from quiet temples to bustling cities.
