“Very professional service and helpful and knowledgeable staff”
“I think the service from Cooper Parry has been excellent.”
“Great team, very friendly and always responsive!”
“Due to internal changes, we were under-prepared in terms of experience, this meant lots of conversations with Cooper Parry who helped us enormously, providing invaluable guidance.”
“I’ve not been particularly close to our audit it does seem to have been a longer drawn out process than usual. Been introduced to lots to new staff by email ( e.g Jo taking a year off just as we had a established some good lines of communication). Slow responses by Oliver to getting my personal tax return done. Delighted to get a birthday gift well in advance, a nice touch. Still quite happy overall.”
“Generally excellent service and advice, and nice people to deal with. Costs for ancillary services seem a little high, and expectations on timeframes for completion of work / responses could sometimes be managed a bit better. Nearly 5 stars, would have picked 4.5 if it was an option!”
“We have a very good working relationship with Martin and Filipa and hope this to continue when Martin moves into his new role.”
“Client focused approach. Ensuring the client’s needs are met, whilst protecting the client with a rigorous audit.”
“Its difficult to recall much in the way of outstanding service this last year unfortunately. Working with Joseph Owens was probably the highlight, otherwise, and most likely due to delays both ends the process dragged.”
“Don’t feel I am getting as good a service from the Audit – there have been lots of staff changes and not a fan of the remote audit and can hopefully get back to face to face post Covid. Other departments aren’t always the fastest to follow things up.”
“Communication and service levels have dipped since Covid pandemic limited on site working”
“The relationship we have with Cooper Parry is special. The only Auditors and Accountants we have been able to build a close working relationship. We can go to them with any questions whatsoever and they are always diligent and helpful. We have been able to use your offices for offsite meetings and been treated like we are part of the company.”
“Audit went well and was efficient. Issues were discussed as we went through the process rather than being left to the end. Worked well having the interim visit pre year end. Next year, would be good to select as many samples as possible at this point so we can have them ready for the final audit date. Would also be good to have tax people on the clearance call with Looping France.”
“Peter Sterling is always available and responds promptly to any calls / emails. Re other matters I have had less to do with CP personally than in other years so difficult to comment.”
“Very quick responses to any questions which is always appreciated. Excellent follow up too. Should CP should be more active in assisting with finding the right type of funding for businesses that are growing or require increased borrowing ability. – is this an area that CP want to be involved in or not?”
“Relationship with team is good, and some key people involved in the relationship have been excellent. I would pick out Lewis, Robin and Louise from the team in particular as being knowledgeable of our business and providing good support. A specific example of good service was Robin jumping on a call at short notice alongside Browne Jacobson to help discuss an issue for us quickly, this was massively appreciated. Also during the year Louise provided some excellent support (last minute, which was our fault and not hers) for filing Form 42’s and EMI’s. However, I thought that a remote audit wasn’t great as I don’t like the process of audit via email as I think its more disruptive to the business than through conversation. Perhaps if remote is necessary scheduled Teams calls would be more productive for both sides ? I was also a little frustrated by the tax computation and being chased to make payments on account, when I believed that there was no tax to pay. The tax comps had missed a £2.25m deduction, which if I had not spotted myself could have meant an expensive tax liability. I am not sure if this would have been spotted later , or the full review process had been undertaken and would have just been omitted.”
