ARRON, MAR 21

“The additional cash will allow us to continue investing in the growth of the business moving forward. Results faired well against expectations. We weren’t internally aware of the change to our claim, from SME to RDEC following the acquisition, however the detail was explained thoroughly. “

MATTHEW, FEB 21

“Don’t feel I’ve had the best advice – not personalised enough.”

ANDREA, FEB 21

“All worked as expected under the current circumstances.”

RUTH, FEB 21

“Easy to talk to and you cut through the jargon. Clear reporting and representation of accounts to the Board. I would still like a little more input into the accounts.”

MARK, FEB 21

“I’ve not heard from you….other than via email”

MIKE, FEB 21

“Maybe an unfair comment given first audit and remote auditing but it would be better from my point of view to have a list of all information needed in advance rather than having numerous requests during the audit. With my reduced hours during the pandemic and furlough arrangements it is sometimes difficult to respond as quickly as I would like.”

NIKKI, FEB 21

“It was good to have the same audit manager as we had in the previous year. The remote audit went pretty well, uploading all of our evidence to the portal worked well. We just needed a bit more time to manage this additional workload at our end.”

JANE, FEB 21

“First of all, our partner Andy Jones was incredibly supportive and dealt with all queries promptly and efficiently, even when things got a little stressful towards the end. There were times when it felt a bit disconnected, largely due to the fact that the audit was done remotely. When the team finished the field work there were a few weeks with no contact and then it all got a bit stressful towards the end. Overall, great though and I have recommended you to another school during the year, who did appoint you. Just one thing..it is apparent that the academies team are extremely overstretched at that time of the year and as a client it is obvious.”

DEBBIE, FEB 21

“Excellent feedback and service, however due to remote audit because of COVID, submission of electronic staff contract files was extremely time consuming, saying that some aspects of the remote audit were very successful and I think should be maintained. Maybe in future a combination of remote and on site audit.”

ELAINE, FEB 21

“As a whole I have been very impressed with Cooper Parry and the individuals I have had dealings with throughout the year so far. Everyone has been so patient and approachable. The audit was a challenge due to it being the first audit and having to do things differently because of COVID and in a slightly different way to what I have been used to. However that being said, now I have a year under my belt, I know what to provide in readiness for the following year and hopefully, can have it ready in good time for next years audit. I am however used to dealing with one individual as my main point of contact throughout the year and so far this year I have dealt with a different person for each of the returns. This being said, it all comes down to change when working with a different company. I did have a general query about anything through the year I’m not sure who I should make contact with.”

MARTA, FEB 21

“Always supportive. Experienced and reliable team”

ROSEMARY, FEB 21

“I felt there was little preparation for the audit, which took place in September 2020, the first with CP, although this may partly have been due to the restrictions arising from COVID-19. The preparation of the accounts was also problematic; the first draft appeared only a day before the agenda papers were due to be sent out, and it was full of errors, both in terms of the figures and text. Clearly, no one had even glanced at them before they were sent to me. Then multiple drafts had to be produced after that as my amendments were missed. There was also some confusion after the final draft had been approved, as I expected to hear again from CP with instructions as to your procedure for signature, but I heard nothing. The whole experience was very far removed from the service we received from our previous auditor. I am hoping the next audit will proceed more smoothly, as our charity will be known to the audit team (assuming the members remain the same), and CP now has a reasonable draft of the TAR and financial statements on its system from which to work. Having said this, I found the team very pleasant and helpful, and I felt the difficulties arose mainly because they were clearly working under a lot of pressure and maybe in a different culture to the one I am used to working in.”

MARIE, FEB 21

“Teething problems as a result of our first audit and the ever changing challenges of the pandemic. Very helpful and willing team at CP! We will be meeting to discuss and address issues ready for next year’s audit.”

TIM, FEB 21

“because 5 star were one of my favourite bands in the 80’s and 90’s”

LEZELLE, FEB 21

“Excellent client service form start to finish. You take the time to really know the client and entity you have engaged with. The team members are thorough and responsive. Deadlines are always met (unless there is a reasonable excuse).”

ANTOINETTE, FEB 21

“Customer care & continuity delivered by James Taylor as this is exceptional and the continuity because every year he has supported us : in the audit planning process, periodically or catches up or us attends during the audit and the clearance meeting and presents to the Finance and Audit committee. feed back from Directors about the Report which summaries the annual accounts is very positive and they see it as extremely useful and customer focused.\n\n Audit teams – each year the staff undertaking without exception have all been highly professional and hard working and great ambassadors for your organisation . a special thanks this year ( under COVID conditions) to Nicola Whiting and to Hayley Norman.\n\nSimon Arkins always supports and offers excellent support and the Executive Leadership team are grateful for his guidance.”
