After announcing our investment partnership with New York-based Lee Equity in December 2024 and our 13th acquisition in two years recently, CP has recruited Johnny Clarke to expand our tax offering and accelerate our ambitious growth plans.

Based out of our newly launched Thames Valley superhub, unveiled in February 2025, Johnny brings with him over 15 years’ experience in the industry, including 9 years at Deloitte as Corporate Tax Associate Director in his most recent role.

With specialisms in corporation tax compliance, tax accounting and group reporting, Johnny works closely with large international and PE backed businesses, and as our growth plans in the region continue, his arrival comes at the perfect time.

Johnny commented:

“I was immediately drawn to CP’s fast-moving, entrepreneurial nature. The noise they’ve been making in the industry and their growth journey over the last few years have been hard to ignore. And when you pair that with CP’s focus on employee engagement and culture, the opportunity was too good to turn down.

I’m looking forward to bringing my understanding of the local client base to the table, adding real value and playing a key role in CP’s continued growth, both across Thames Valley and nationwide.”

Simon Baines, CP’s Head of Tax added:

“CP’s Tax team and the breadth and quality of services we can offer to clients continues to go from strength to strength, and as we welcome more and more people of Johnny’s calibre, that trend will only speed up. Johnny’s network across Thames Valley, coupled with his experience, approach and skillset makes him a hugely valuable addition to the team, and I’m sure he’ll make a big impact.”
