WHY IT MATTERS, MORE THAN EVER

When Cooper Parry signed up to the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter back in 2024, we were a very different business.

Since then, we’ve grown rapidly, welcomed over 20 new firms and hundreds of talented people into the CP family.

That growth has made our targets harder to achieve, as many of these acquired firms have historically had lower levels of female representation at senior levels than our legacy business.

But while the percentage challenge has become greater, so has the impact.

Right now, we’re working to achieve meaningful representation across a much larger organisation, creating more opportunities for women than ever before.

So much so that we’ve maintained 30% female representation at Partner and Associate Partner level while continuing to scale.

What’s more, with 57% of our Directors and Senior Managers being women, we have a strong pipeline for future leadership.

Our 2028 target remains ambitious, and that’s exactly why it matters.

Diversity is not a compliance exercise at CP. It’s part of who we are. It reflects our values, strengthens our culture, supports our B Corp commitments and helps us continue challenging the status quo in our profession.

We’re backing that commitment with more actions and initiatives, such as:

  • Ensuring gender-balanced Director and Partner promotion panels
  • Embedding greater focus on representation within our talent and succession planning processes, we’re working to create more pathways into senior leadership
  • Introducing ElevateHer – CP’s Women’s Network
  • Promoting ‘Women in Finance’ Insight Days
  • Actively participating in She Rocks, Women in Deals and Women in Tech female leadership networks
  • Partnering with influential organisations such as Potentia and Elevare.

Alongside supporting female founders, future leaders and showcasing female role models across our business, we’re helping to build a stronger and more diverse profession for the future.

As Cooper Parry continues to grow, our ambition is simple: to create one of the most inclusive, progressive and diverse professional services groups in the UK

Proof positive that growth and female representation can go hand in hand.

And why it matters more than ever.
